Mixed Greens

This is the quilt that I am making for my daughter, Samantha.  She is going off to college soon, so she will be taking it with her.  Her favorite color is green, could you have guessed?  It is called a French Braid quilt.  It looks really complicated, but it is extremely easy to put together.  Here are some shots of me working on it, as well as one strip or braid and the detailing in the middle quilt block.

You can see here the detailing in the quilting (flowers) and the Girl Scout cookies and the Save the World fabric.  This one is Megan's.

These are the quilts that I made for my great-nieces, Ally and Megan.  They are in Girl Scouts, to the fabrics in their quilts are all Girl Scout themed.  Ally's is the pink one and Megan's is the green one.
Another view of the same cake.  It tasted really good too!

Last Wedding Cake

This is a picture of the last wedding cake that I did.  My good friend Linda married a really sweet guy named John and I got to do their cake.

Hi

Hi, My name is SCHalverson, and I have created this blog for my mom, LLHalverson.  She is very talented in the ways of quilts and cakes and many other things.  This is mostly to document her works of both natures.
